Procter & Gamble Company is recalling a number of lots of its Iams and Eukanuba dry petfood brands because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
These recalled dry dog and cat food products were made during a 10-day window at a single manufacturing site and distributed throughout the US. P&G's routine testing found that some of the products made during this timeframe have the potential for Salmonella contamination.
A complete list of recalled cat and dog food products, including package size, lot code, UPC code and best-by date can be viewed on the US Food and Drug Administration's website.
The company says no Salmonella-related illnesses have been associated with the recalled products. Consumers who purchased these products should stop using them and discard them. Consumers can contact P&G for a refund at +1.800.208.0172, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST.
