Private-label petfood sales in the UK are growing rapidly, according to a report from Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) that quotes the market research institute IRI.
According to the report, retailer brand sales have risen 6.5 percent, compared with only a 2.8 percent increase in the entire category. The growth is partly due to a massive hike in featured space deals on private-label petfood and due to price rises, experts claim.
