MPM Products, manufacturer of the Applaws and Encore petfood brands, is celebrating after selling its 100 millionth unit of wet cat food worldwide.
The Manchester, England-based company is seeing sales of its brands continue to grow and is on track to reach its target of £24 million (US$39.1 million) turnover by the end of 2013.
"These record-breaking figures are a testament to the hard work of the MPM Products team and their dedication to creating superior petfoods with all-natural ingredients," says Julian Bambridge, managing director.
In addition to growing sales in the wet cat food category, MPM has also sold more than 12 million units of wet dog food over the last five years. The company expects to see opportunities for growth continue throughout 2014 as consumer interest in premium pet products expands internationally.
