Custom petfood diet company launches new affiliate program

Petbrosia.com, a designer of dry petfood diets, launched its affiliate program, offered exclusively on the affiliate marketing network Rakuten LinkShare, which provides payouts to online publishers who want to partner with Petbrosia.com.
Petbrosia provides a customized diet for each pet, per order, based on the breed, age and weight of cats and dogs. The petfood is shipped to pet owners.
In addition to offering up to 15 percent commission on the sales amount referred to Petbrosia.com, the affiliate program also offers to partners other performance incentives such as commission increases, cash bonuses, free content and a dedicated affiliate manager.
Geno Prussakov's firm, AM Navigator, will manage the LinkShare-based affiliate program.
"Here at Petbrosia we are so excited to be working with AM Navigator on getting our affiliate marketing program up and running." said Jack Farrell at Petbrosia. "We know how big of an opportunity this affiliate marketing program is and that's why we put it in the hands of Geno and his team."

Cricket virus leads to shortage in Canada

A virus that hit cricket breeding operations has caused a shortage of petfood for exotic animal owners across Canada, according to an article from CBC news. The Densovirus affecting the industry disrupts the neurological system of insects, leading to paralysis and death.
"Customers are coming to us now," said Brad Gutka, a Canadian cricket producer. "Pet stores and things like that are coming to us and looking for new supplies."
Some pet store owners are looking to import crickets resistant to the disease, but this species is not currently on Canada's approved list of insect species. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is investigating the matter further.

SmartPak launches canine nutrition program

SmartPak, which until now has only been involved in human food and pet medications, recently launched the Proportions Whole Food Nutrition Program, a new canine nutrition brand. The program works by reducing carbs and starches by feeding a reduced portion of high quality dry food; increasing healthy, natural proteins and vegetables via a “stew” portion; and increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables in the diet with a “harvest mix” portion.
